A few days ago I’m on the phone with Mike Rennie, founder and owner of Leoness Cellars, one of the select wineries we’ve chosen to feature at the Cellar Lounge and Bouquet. I tell him we would like to carry his Roussanne, Cinsaut, and Late Harvest Muscat. After a short moment of silence Mike, sounding a little surprised, asks if we’re sure we want to choose such obscure selections. I assure him they’re just what we’re looking for and that they’ll be in great company.
That’s because in addition to a collection of our own Ponte wines and Temecula Valley offerings from our friends at Leoness, Weins, Palumbo, and Doffo, the Cellar Lounge and Bouquet will also feature a carefully chosen cache of wines from around the world, many from places and made with grape varietals that remain generally undiscovered. Ever sipped a minerally crisp Spanish Albariño or enjoyed the silky elegance of Siciliy’s Frappato grape? Those are just two of the many unique offerings available on our new wine list. Classics from California, Italy, France, and many more are to be found as well.
For those seeking something other than wine in wine country, the Cellar Lounge provides just as much excitement when it comes to spirits and beers. Featuring refreshingly modern cocktails made with artisanal liqueurs, fresh ingredients, and sometimes even a splash of Ponte wine, the mixed drink scene at the Cellar Lounge proves to be something you won’t find anywhere else. Enjoy a taste of southern France with the lavender and lemon infused “Provence” or experience the exotic flavors of ginger, cucumber, and elderflower liqueur in the “Macao”. Looking for something more traditional on the rocks? With a list that includes everything from premium vodkas and rums to 100% agave tequilas to single malt Scotches and fine Cognacs, there truly is something for every taste. Even the beer list offers something special. You won’t find any big name brews here. Offering a concise and carefully put together collection of craft brews, every beer at the Cellar Lounge promises to be a taste of something different.
In addition to these great drink choices, The Cellar Lounge will begin serving food tonight. Think Gourmet Gastropub Fare. Mediterranean Nachos, Pork Belly Sliders, etc. There’s something for everyone and always something to be paired with it.
As the only full service bar in wine country the Cellar Lounge can’t help but be one of a kind. We’ve worked hard to build on that and to create an experience unlike anything not just in wine country, but in all of Temecula. It’s exciting to see the vision becoming a reality, and we can’t wait for all our family and friends to come and check it out.
