Thinking Outside the Box

Have you tried our current 2012 Beverino?  It’s different, you say?  Well, there’s a story behind that…

It’s no secret that our Wine Club Members love this wine.  And, typically, we don’t mess with what works.  But, when it came time to make and release the current vintage, we stepped outside the box of tasting the wine within our little circle of associates, and went straight to the folks who made Beverino the star that it is: our Members.

To get their opinions, our assistant Tasting Room manager, Michelle, offered different blends of Beverino to some of our Members.  It was 10-year Member and Beverino aficionado, Mary Ruvalcaba, who we got the most feedback from.  The blend she chose was sweeter and riper than our previous Beverino’s; if you’ve yet to try it, imagine a combination of our Beverino and Late Harvest – it’s something like that.  Unbeknownst to the winemaking staff, Mary would often mix these two exact wines at home to make her own signature wine.  It’s no wonder she chose the blend that she did!

We debuted Mary’s, er, our 2012 vintage of Beverino to rave reviews.  It can still be enjoyed chilled or at room temperature and still tastes great with tangy cheeses, fresh berries and chocolate.  Oh yeah, and you can get it in a magnum size, too.

Moral of the story: we listen.  Keep on telling us what you love.
