The New Newsletter

Claudio Ponte

When it comes to sustainability at Ponte, we don’t just talk the talk – we walk the walk. Our 12-page newsletter used 160,000 folio size sheets – the equivalent of 640 reams of paper and 38 trees every year. In order to save this amount of paper, we have decided to condense our Wine Club newsletter to 4 pages. This smaller letter will include my usual column along with descriptions of the two wines in the shipment and their corresponding pairing recipes.

This doesn’t mean we’ll stop writing to you about newsworthy and fun events happening at the winery. We simply plan to use our Blog to communicate more effectively and more sustainably with you. Most of you are, of course, familiar with Blogs. This wonderful tool will give all our associates an opportunity to write and contribute information to you. Most importantly, Blogs let you share your opinion with us and the rest of our guests on our winery, recipes, wine tasting notes and events.

Besides being able to offer up-to-the-minute information, our Blog will give us all a convenient way to archive and find past articles in an easy to search format. When you need that tasty recipe from a couple of years ago, or want to refer to something weird I may have written about back in 2005, the info will be just a couple of clicks away.

So let’s get started. Get your computer or tablet and check out our latest Blogs at www.pontewinery.com/blog. Remember, we need your help with comments and feedback to start the dialogue. Tell us what you think!
