If you’re visiting this website and this blog, chances are you’re a fan of wine. I’m going to guess that some of you might even be here in search of a wine, either one you’ve had before or one new to you. Perhaps you can’t decide on one. Well, in that case, try a flight.
A wine flight is a carefully selected grouping of wines that follow a theme. There are flights of Cabernet Sauvignons, flights of wines from France, flights of California sparkling wines, etc. When you order a wine flight in a restaurant, most of the time you are served smaller pourings of wines, whether it’s three pourings of different Italian Pinot Grigios or four of dry German Rieslings. It’s a great way to try different wines without committing to full glasses. In our online store, however, we offer full bottle flights! These are great if you want to throw your own flight party at home, or if you simply wish to try a few different Ponte wines.
Spring Essentials is a collection of three wines that we think are great for enjoying this season. In it are the sweet Juliet, white Pinot Grigio and red Tempranillo. This is a great choice for dinner parties where you can give your guests a choice of wines.
Front Porch Sittin’ includes Fume Blanc, Viognier and Doppietta. Chill the two whites and serve on warm evenings with chips and salsa or rosemary-lemon chicken. The red Doppietta would be great served with summertime desserts like blackberry and plum crumble. (Don’t forget the vanilla ice cream.)
There is also the wildly popular Sparkling Duo which features Moscato and Rose Spumante. Both lightly sweet sparkling wines pair beautifully with everything from Brunch dishes like Coconut Banana Pancakes to desserts, such as fresh fruit custard tarts.
