What’s better than spending a summer day wine tasting at Ponte?  Getting to have lunch at The Restaurant which has just debuted a fresh, new summer menu!  Chef Salvatore Giuliano creates a new menu four times a year, always at the turn of the season and this season is no exception.  Expect the brightest, most tastiest produce, meats, cheeses and seafood around…because that’s just how we roll.

Here’s a peek at some of our new summer items:

The Short Rib and Tomato appetizer puts mango-brandy pulled short rib on polenta-crusted fried green heirloom tomatoes with a raspberry buttermilk vinaigrette.  Southern-inspired with a SoCal twist.

Our chilled Spicy Gazpacho is a warm weather must-have.  Chef Guiliano adds tomatillo, jalapeno, honeydew melon, avocado and shrimp to this classic summertime soup.

Think all tuna salad sandwiches are the same?  Wrong!  Ours combines albacore tuna, grapes, artichoke hearts, shallots and brie on a multigrain slider.

The new Iceberg Salad may sound like a yawn, but it’s anything but.  We cover cold iceberg lettuce with nicoise olives, cucumber, spicy red onion, sweet baby tomatoes, pepperoncini, blue cheese, tempura fried avocado and peppercorn dressing – whaat?!

Veggie-lovers unite for our Stuffed Zucchini entree.  After stuffed and dressed with dill Havarti cheese, pine nuts, herb and parmesan polenta, red pepper coulis and arugula, farm-fresh zucchini is grilled for a great summer flavor.

No tears, carnivores and seafood fans, we’ve got plenty for you, too.  Between the grilled Lamb T-Bone, Flat Iron Steak, Diver Scallops and new Sandabs, you may find it very hard to decide what you’re in the mood for.

But wait, there’s more! Bouquet Restaurant at Ponte Vineyard Inn is now serving lunch on weekends! If you love the experience of savoring fresh, seasonal fare outdoors in wine country you’ll love Bouquet as much as you love The Restaurant at Ponte. Bouquet offers fresh salads and sandwiches, delicious seafood, cold soups for summer and some great pasta selections from our Chef De Cuisine, Riccardo Cuccaro.
