Macarons

Ever watched a kid eat candy on Halloween?  It’s impressive if not slightly disturbing.  One piece after another after another…the stuff goes down like water.  Admit it, you were the same way.  And then you grew up and found out that wolfing down a bunch of sweets in public got you a lot of stares.  Well, prepare to let the kid in you out again at The Restaurant when you get a glimpse of their new spring desserts.  We predict you won’t be able to choose just one, so go ahead and order two or three or more…after all, no one is going to stare because everyone will be doing the same thing!

Pastry chefs Jennifer, Joe, Tessie and Ashereen took the season as their inspiration and created a menu that is decadent, fresh and totally delightful.  The coconut pavlova is a light-as-air meringue shell filled to the brim with fresh fruit and guava sauce.  Dessert-of-the-moment macarons are charming little French sandwich pastries in flavors like hazelnut and lemon blueberry.  There is also a tangy Key Lime tart with cream, house-made semifreddos in boozy flavors, Italian zeppoles (little fried donuts) with a trio of sauces, a melt-in-your-mouth chocolate mocha soufflé and more.

So, make your reservation here, come on out for a fabulous lunch or dinner and save room for dessert, my friends, save room for dessert.
