Spring: So Good We Can Taste It

Literally!  Last week we debuted a new menu at The Restaurant at Ponte.  Chef Sal and his team have created a menu that utilizes the best of the season; from pea shoots and baby greens to asparagus and Meyer lemons. Don’t let spring pass without coming by for lunch or dinner to try these delicious new creations!  Here are some of our favorites:

Crab Stack appetizer – sweet lump crab is complemented by cucumber, mango, avocado, pea shoots, ruby grapefruit and baby greens.

Frito Misto appetizer – a mix of the freshest spring vegetables are delicately fried to perfection and served with lemon herb aioli.

Flat Iron Stack – All natural, hormone-free, char-grilled steak served with arugula, heirloom tomato and black garlic bruschetta, bleu cheese and balsamic reduction.

Gnudi – Plump ricotta and potato dumplings are served with a sweet pea-tarragon sauce, snow peas, pea shoots, shitake mushrooms and spring onions.

Spaghetti Squash – Slow roasted and stuffed with artichokes, asparagus, mushrooms, ricotta, pine nuts and served with a lemon caper cream sauce.

Fennel + Beet Salad – Sweet roasted golden beets, peppery arugula, candied kumquats, goat cheese and Meyer lemon vinaigrette.

Harvest Salad – Mixed baby greens are topped with apricots, rainbow carrots, roasted beets, fava beans, hazelnuts and asiago cheese and served with Zinfandel vinaigrette.

Drunken Chicken Sandwich – wine braised chicken, jack cheese, butter lettuce, lingonberry-cilantro aioli and crispy onions on a baguette, served with Beverino wine glaze.

Mediterranean Wrap – A soft spinach tortilla stuffed with spinach, avocado, cucumbers, tomatoes, red bell peppers, feta cheese, roasted garlic hummus and red wine vinaigrette, served with sweet potato fries.
