You might be like a lot of people when it comes to charity: you just aren’t sure where to start. “Which charities are legit?” “Where will my dollar stretch the furthest?” “Where will my donation impact the most?” are probably questions that have swirled around your head.
Here’s one option: start with us! All year long Ponte participates in various local charities and we have always encouraged our guests to join us. Through our charities, the homeless will be warmed in the winter months, abused children will be protected and educated, families in need will be fed and much, much more. We have always believed that Ponte Winery is only as strong as the community around us, and we will continue to invest our time, money and energy to help build that community through contributions and green initiatives…we would love to see you get involved with us.
In 2013 we want to be stronger than ever and we have lined up a number of opportunities to lend a hand right in our own backyard. Check out what we have planned this year and how you can become involved…
Empty Bowls – The Restaurant at Ponte will donate 5 gallons of soup to Temecula Valley High School’s event, which fights hunger in the Temecula area and abroad.
Coins for Kids – We will be collecting “coins for kids” which will be donated to Rancho Damacitas, a local home for abused and neglected children. We’ll also donate one dollar from each bottle of Juliet and Isabel wines sold in the month of April to Rancho Damacitas.
Family Movie Night – This will be our 4th annual Movie Night! Our family-friendly event supports Team Ponte’s fundraising efforts for Rancho Damacitas. In late summer, Team Ponte runs in the America’s Finest City ½ Marathon.
America’s Finest City ½ Marathon – Donate during one of our many fundraising events throughout the year, or join Team Ponte and run with us! All proceeds go to Rancho Damacitas, a home for abused and neglected children.
Blanket Drive – We will encourage our guests to bring in blankets and sleeping bags. They will be donated to homeless children through the Temecula Community Pantry.
Oak Grove Classic – Ponte donates wine for the golfers who participate in Oak Grove Center’s annual golf event and Chef Open. All proceeds from the event benefits Oak Grove Center.
Holiday Canned Food Drive – Both Ponte associates and guests are encouraged to donate cans of food or non-perishable food items, all of which will fill the shelves of the local Temecula Community Pantry. In return, guests will receive special discounts in our Marketplace.
