An angry wife is no fun for anyone…unless they are from Ponte. Our super-secret blends cheekily named “Angry Wives” were once available solely to Claudio and his pals, who got together once a year and made the wine themselves. After years of constant requests, Claudio relented and made the Angry Wives available to the masses (aka Wine Club Members).
Now, only available to our Members in limited quantities, Angry Wife Red and Angry Wife White have quickly become favorites. Because they never last nearly long enough, we wanted to help you stock up this month so we’ve offered a 30% discount. The good news is, the discount is still available. The bad news is, you’ve only got a couple more days to take advantage of it. Come June, the discount will end.
The 2010 Angry Wife Red is a full bodied wine with flavors of black currant, dark chocolate and blackberry. Uncork it with grilled or roasted meats, antipasto platters and other heartier foods. The 2012 Angry Wife White is a medium to full bodied white blend that has flavor notes of passion fruit, peach and pineapple with a touch of oak. We love it with seafood and lemony pastas.
