Simple, classic Pizza Margherita
Okay, so it doesn’t exactly feel like winter in Temecula right now. But that is no excuse not to change our menu at The Restaurant like we do every winter! Yes, it’s that time again – time to come on out to Ponte to sample the new and delicious dishes our Chef has dreamed up to fit the new season.
A new Flatbread appetizer is topped with garlic oil, rosemary, roasted tomatoes, goat cheese, caramelized onions and spicy sambal. Pizza Verde is baked in our signature grape wood-fired oven and loaded with artichokes, asparagus, zucchini, pine nuts, asiago, pesto and arugula. The classically comforting dish, Stuffed Peppers, has been brought back to life in Chef Sal’s version of it: plump red peppers come filled to the brim with cous cous, shitake mushrooms, zucchini, sundried tomatoes, onions, pine nuts, parmesan and are topped with pine nut cream sauce. Salads have never been boring at The Restaurant, and the new Spinach and Pear salad proves it. Tender baby spinach is topped with a port wine-poached pear, blue cheese, candied pecans and is served with spiced Zinfandel vinaigrette. Vegetarian? No problem. Even bonafide carnivores have been impressed by our Veggie Burger, a scrumptious combination of black beans and sweet potato topped with roasted red pepper hummus, pickled red onion, spinach and tomato.
