Have you ever given thought to how much paper is involved in the production of a wedding? I must admit, ordering stationery is one of my favorite tasks when it comes to wedding planning. I think the reason I have such a huge passion for stationery is that it was the one thing that used to keep me up late at night as I planned my own wedding. I would hunt through magazines and come up with nothing. I remember doing a Google search for wine country wedding invitations and lots of stuff would come up but nothing displayed the elegance I wanted to convey with my invitations. They had a client that wanted to create some real excitement about their upcoming event. The team at Innovation Companies was able to deliver by designing an invitation that incorporated a heat sensitive material. As you held the invitation, it created a thermal print on the invitation via the heat of your hands. I guess you really have to feel it to understand. However, I can personally tell you it was quite extraordinary!
Below is a favorite of mine. This modern design incorporates the use of bold colors and striking fabrics. The tiny threads which compliment the color scheme are not only exquisite in design, but they are also functional in holding together the response and map/direction cards.

It’s partially because of the story behind the invitation; either way, the invitation was beautiful. This specific couple were huge art lovers. They had a favorite painting which was created by the groom’s grandfather. The team at Innovation Companies built upon the couple’s favorite painting by incorporating a silhouette of a couple dancing. The image was first presented in the save the date and followed by the invitation. The image made its way through all of the couple’s ceremony and reception items but the thing that tied it all together was the actual painting which was on display at the couple’s reception. As the guests entered the reception and saw the painting, they were all in awe of how the couple creatively tied it all together. This is a prime example of a couple that used their wedding stationery to make a statement about what was important to them.
