Give Back in 2014

January is a popular month for change.  The beginning of a new year is the perfect platform for many people to reinvent their bodies, their minds, their jobs, etc.  But ponder this: while you’re going the extra mile to refresh your life, why not impact someone else’s as well?

This month Ponte is hosting a Canned Food Drive as part of our 2014 charitable work.  We are asking our guests and Members to bring in non-perishable, canned foods which we will donate to our local food bank.  A food bank is an organization that distributes food to those who have difficulty purchasing enough food for their families.  Food banks are especially in need of donations during this time of year, as the holidays tend to be very busy for them and, often, leave their supplies low.  We’ve been active in gathering donations for the food bank over the years and hope this is our most successful year to date.  That’s where you come in!  Simply bring us your canned items on your next trip to Ponte and we’ll take care of getting them to the food bank.  When you donate 5 or more canned goods, we’ll give you 5% off your purchase of wine, gourmet foods and gift items!  It’s just our way of saying “thank you” for your efforts.  Members, this discount is in addition to your normal Wine Club discount.

Most of us don’t know what it’s like to be hungry, but for the thousands of people in our community who do, even a few cans of food can make an enormous difference in their lives and in the lives of their families.  Together, we can help make sure that kids go to bed hunger-free and eat a filling breakfast before going to school.  We hope you can help us make a difference this year!
