From the Green Team: Giving is Sustainable, too!

Charity isn’t just the caring thing to do and the right thing to do; it’s also the sustainable thing to do. That’s because giving back to the community is an essential part of creating a strong and vibrant place for Ponte to flourish. Ponte, and all our neighbors, are only going to thrive if the whole community is working together and succeeding in addressing local issues.

That’s one of the reasons why Ponte is proud to say it puts on and participates in numerous charitable events each year. Check out what we did in 2011 and what we are doing this year. This time of year is very important for raising awareness and getting involved because April is Child Abuse Awareness Month, and we are kicking off our season of giving!

One example of our dedication to better the community is Ponte’s past participation in the San Diego Rock and Roll Half Marathon and Relay where we raised money for Rancho Damcitas, a local home for abused and neglected children. This year, we will run San Diego’s AFC 1/2 Marathon after raising funds again for Rancho Damacitas. Our goal this year is to raise over $25,000! Rancho Damacitas does an incredible job helping Temecula’s youth in need, and we are proud to support them every year.

By giving back to our community we foster a place where not only Ponte, but everybody, can thrive. A healthy, strong Temecula is good for all!

If you would like to join us in raising funds for Rancho Damacitas, please join us at 5:30 p.m. On Wednesday, April 25th as we hold our kick-off meeting for Team Ponte and talk about how you can help this wonderful organization while training for the run, meeting new people and sipping a little wine along the way.
