Father’s Day Duo wine flight: Ponte Syrah is a classic red wine with bold flavors of ripe plums, dried herbs and spice. It is an ideal wine for barbeque favorites and grilled steak. This trio of red wine will compliment anything he creates. Meritage is a red blended wine that is so delicious, you and dad might finish the bottle before dinner is ready. A combination of five varietals, Meritage tastes of red plums and vanilla and is great with tri-tip. Barbera is lighter in body than Meritage but just as flavorful. With blackberry, plum and oak flavors, it is very food-friendly and fantastic with a pre-dinner platter of salty cheeses. Serve it with creamy sauces, tomato based dishes and citrus-grilled chicken.
