If you have a thing for burlap and love everything from burlap wedding invitations to burlap wedding decorations, then this is definitely the blog for you. During my time in Special Events at Ponte Winery, I have seen so many artistic ways to use burlap at a wedding and I’ve listed a few ideas that you could use as well!
We are all so used to paper in wedding invitations, but couples are adding a creative touch to their invites by incorporating materials such as burlap, which adds a distinctive personality. Guests will be surprised to open up their envelopes and find a different texture and style.
Burlap is the perfect fabric for many reasons. It is durable, yet can be transformed into just about anything. This bouquet offers burlap around the stems to keep the flowers together, as well as a burlap flower nestled within. This style works perfectly with white and tan tones.
Most brides desire tents for outdoor weddings, but if you don’t need overhead protection from the weather, then you could use this idea to section off the reception for your guests. Many times tents just act as a way to keep your reception in a specific area. Why not use large pieces of burlap to act as walls, along with draped chiffon or another light weight fabric?
Burlap is so versatile and works wonderfully in the details of your wedding. You could easily create a pouch for your utensils and tie each with a bit of twine. Add a small flower for a bit of color and your guests are ready for dinner time!
The perfect way to add a touch of country chic to your wedding is to use burlap as a runner on your table. Keep the rest of the décor neutral and add color in your floral accents.
