Since 2007 Ponte Winery has strived to become Temecula Wine Country’s leader in sustainability by caring for our environment and community. Today the hard work is paying off as our winemaking facility and vineyard are now Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing!

The California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance (CSWA) created this innovative, award winning program to help California winegrowers evaluate their operation in terms of sustainability and give them access to 227 best management practices. While any winery can use the online program to self-assess their operation, only those wineries dedicated to meeting the CSWA’s prerequisites and willing to host a sustainability audit are able to be Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing. The last and most important part of being certified is the commitment a winery makes each year to implement more and more of the best management practices.

We are proud to be among the handful of wineries that has made the commitment toward continual improvement and a sustainable future. It’s especially noteworthy that we are the first winery in Temecula to achieve this status, and we hope our efforts will draw attention to the importance of a sustainable mindset. In fact, people are already talking about us!

Please take a look at this innovative program and see the current sustainable practices we are implementing right now at Ponte. We appreciate your partnership in this process and look forward to growing with you in our efforts be sustainable.
