The Time for a Tour

As you may know, it is harvest time at Ponte.  What does that mean?  The grapes in our vineyards are being picked, de-stemmed, crushed and created into future wines.  It’s extraordinarily busy in our winemaking department, but it’s also an incredible time to take a tour!  Right now, our tour guests are not just learning about the winemaking process, they are actually witnessing it.  We take them right into the vineyards and the tankyard where enormous equipment buzzes, whizzes and whirls grapes into wine, not to mention our brilliant winemaking team and vineyard associates who make it all happen!

Our private tours include winetasting and offer a fascinating and educational look inside a working winery.  Learn how it all began back in 1984, the value we put on sustainability practices and what exciting things Ponte has planned for the future.  Along with the vineyards and tankyard, you’ll tour other areas of the winery, including the Barrel Room where you’ll also taste wine straight out of the oak!  Guests take home a signature logo wine glass, too.

We can’t promise you’ll get to chat with Mark, our winemaker, at this time but we can say that this is one of the best times of the year to tour Ponte.  If you are a Wine Club Member, guess what?  Tours are free for you and your guests!  For really special occasions for a lot of guests, you can book a Private Barrel Room Experience which includes a tour, winetasting, and lunch or dinner in the Barrel Room (sorry, this isn’t free, but it’s awesome).

After your tour and tasting, stay for lunch at The Restaurant; see the menus here.  And what’s a trip to Ponte without shopping in the Marketplace?
