The Midst of Harvest: A Photo Blog

Have you taken our advice yet and visited us for a winery tour this month? The place is an action-packed, non-stop winemaking machine right now! In other words, it’s Harvest Season. There is still time to come out and see what all the fuss is about, but in the meantime, here is some evidence of the festivities:

“Veraison” in progress. Veraison is when grapes turn from green to purple.

Anyone else craving some cheese and wine to go with these beauties?

Grape bins lined up and ready to be filled

Rows and rows of grapevines to pick. It’s gonna be a long day…

Vineyard foreman, Antonio, with over a ton of grapes.

A beautiful thing…but who’s that sneaking a taste?

Action in the tankyard. Longtime Ponte cellar worker, Cuva, running to get in the photo!

Harvest consultant, Daniel, and assistant vineyard manager, Michele.

Sustainability intern, Cameron, raking the stems of the grapes.

The left over stems.

Juicing underway!

The photos just don’t do harvest justice. Come on out and see it all for yourself. Schedule your winery tour here.

Make a night or weekend of it! Book your room or suite at Ponte Vineyard Inn here. Check out the Harvest package here.
