My birthday is the day before Halloween. Growing up, all my birthday parties were always Halloween themed since my mom would peel grapes and place them in bowls of cold spaghetti for the kids to feel witch brain and eye balls, and a slightly boiled tomato as the witch’s heart! This frightful night quickly became my favorite.

Nowadays, my admiration for this holiday has fueled my passion not only for a one-day celebration but for the whole month of Halloween décor. I have brought my love for this holiday to decorating the table in the Marketplace. This year we’ve gone all out with skull candles that have bleeding eyes and bendable spiders you can place around the neck of a bottle. Our Halloween table has eerie black candlesticks and flickering candles with spider webs adorning the sides. My favorite is the glass pumpkins and gourds in 3 sizes and colors; they’ll add a fall touch from the first of October through the last slice of pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving.

The treats are not to be missed either! We have the famous confectioners covered Oreos, that sell out quickly every year. This year I found a new treat: Chipotle chili and dark chocolate skull lollipops. Perfect for “Dia De Los Muertos!”

I invite you to share my favorite holiday with me and shop the Ponte Marketplace to add some spook to your life!
